Highland Park 13 Year (SMWS 4.283 "Selkies, Kelpies, and Peat Reek")

 

Another 13 year independent bottling from Highland Park from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society ("SMWS"). This is part of a big revatting project they've been working on for some time now - I think it's at least the fifth or sixth from the same revatting that I've had. And they have all been interesting! Highland Park is a spirit that really does well in the hands of independent bottlers.

I basically bought this bottle entirely on the strength of the previous revatted bottling of Highland Park that I obtained from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society ("SMWS"). That bottle was called "Dining by the Harbor" and was a fragrant, coastal, fruity, floral, softly smokey dram that I poured and poured and poured into my glass.
